National I-Corps Team Cohorts
Teams that successfully complete a UMD Introduction to I-Corps course and are commercializing university research may be eligible to apply for the national NSF I-Corps program. Those accepted into the national program receive $50,000 to assist with customer discovery and to cover their expenses. National programs are intense, seven-week cohorts in which teams conduct a minimum of 100 interviews.
Teams interested in applying should submit an executive summary here.
Once you submit you executive summary, a member of the UMD I-Corps team will reach out with next steps instructions including refinements to your application, setting up an interview, and getting a letter of recommendation from our Mid-Atlantic I-Corps Hub Director for you to finalize your official application to NSF.
Faculty members considering National I-Corps who are too busy can serve as the PI of Record and have members of their research team, including graduate students and post docs, participate instead.
